What's wrong with my knees?!
I tore my left foot's arch skating and I kept reinjuring my self doing tricks. After about 5 months my foot healed, but when I got off the crutches my knees started to hurt. My left knee hurts much more. After a while I thought my knees were good enough to trick a bit, but I did too much and they started to hurt again. I don't think I twisted my knees or anything because I was on crutches. I'm pretty sure it's jumping that affects mostly because jumping from a small ledge almost has no effect on my knees, but when I jumped into a pool multiple times it hurt after wards.
What's wrong with my knees? What should I do or not do? Do you think I need to go to the doctor? If so, what type of doctor?
Sports physician, I'd say.
My knees are all crunchy because I used to ride BMX and I would land really heavy, my knees are getting better now that I have stopped tho
Rolling is a knee saver. :P Once your knees are bad, roll from any drop waist height or higher. If they don't hurt, it's anything taller than you.
My guess would be Osgood-Schlatters Disease. Nothing super serious, but needs resting from tricking or any other dymamic quad exercise (ie jumping) and reular icing. You should always go to a doctor just to make sure.
does it hurt just above or hust below your knee cap? it could just be tendonitis. i've got that same exact problem. its a very common sports injury, and pretty much every athlete may have it at one point or another. just about everyone in my school's football and track has this problem. you should still be able to put out the same amount of power, but its just gonna hurt like a mother. if you want it to be checked out, you could ask your school's athletic trainer to help you. it should be free.
its almost better now but now i have another injury
lol whats your new injury?
