Rodeo
Type of Trick: Flip / Position
Prerequisites: Rodeo Grab
Abbreviation: ROD
Description: Initiated in a manner similar to the Doubleleg X-Out/Kim Do Kick. The person punches off of two feet while turning and dropping the shoulders to allow the hips to push overhead and cause the body to flip. As the person begins to flip they grab both ankles and pull backwards while pushing the hips forward. The person then lets go of the ankles so they can land on both feet or in a crouched position.
Also like the Doubleleg and X-Out, the Rodeo is a type of position in the air - characterized be the hips being pushed foward, and the feet being drawn back by the dramatic pull of the arms.
Due to this, many tricks can be altered so that it features the "rodeo" position within it. The clip here shows a "Rodeo Backflip" which is considerably easier to perform than the original Rodeo, which is from a Kim Do Kick.
