Bio:
I have a friend who spent mad time checking out youtube for songs and crazy videos. Finally he came across a video called two brothers. Pretty sick tricking/parkour video about these two guys (I think there were more) who were flipping over railing and wallflipping like it was a simple as breathing. He showed me and my crazy ass said "Fuck yea! Get your shoes and lets go!" So basically after a bit of instruction from youtube and a lot of determination, I learned the backflip, sideflip, frontflip, handstand walk, a bit of the human flag, rail flips, handsprings and some capoeira moves. This is all trickin with a little martial arts and most people can get used to them after a while of practice.
There is one thing different about my style. It doesnt take me years to get a move. The previous mentioned moves I have learn by just trying them on the fly on the streets. No gym, no spotter and no fear. The number one thing that will destroy you is your fear. People who bail out of moves are more likely to hurt themselves than people who finish the rotation and catch themselves. Don't get me wrong I do go to a gym now and am trying more difficult stunts now, but starting outside keeps me from being a punk when it comes to outdoor tricking. Don't rely on spring floors and pads because once you leave the gym, your environment changes.
Another thing a lot of people seem to neglect is parkour. Once tricking comes along they ditch the concept and never seem to follow up on it. I'm nasty when it comes to scaling buildings with speed. My house, no problem. My school, no sweat. My lil sister's dollhouse, I jump over that garbage. I'm just that nice. My favorate was this apartment building where I could climb up the balconies to the roof and jump to a tree to get down. They have cameras so the pressure is on and time is important. Speaking of which, I'm a film producer as well... just saying.
Still improving and working on the skills. We'll see where it ends up and hopefully its a high place.
