I figured out your problem! You're on a tramp :P Seriously, that's why you're overrotating. I had the overrotating problem on the ground. Also you're kicking your leg like this: "|" and then going sideways. You need to kick you leg like this "/" and you'll already be sideways. Over exaggerate how much you kick it sideways, think about it like a backwards butterfly kick.
